Thank you again for your interest./ Windows 7 / Windows 7 64 bit / Windows 8 / Windows 8 64 bit This is why I say, the Event Processor and the Marshall just aren't communicating with each other properly. I get something to happen at the Marshall, but it is nothing like what is supposed to happen. I have been successful in getting the Event Processor to accept a new program, but it seems the Marshall is not capable of interpreting the program fully. For example, I can map program changes 5-8 from the controller to be received by the Marshall as program change 3 (in theory). I want to use the Event Processor to send a variety of program changes to either program change 1, 2, 3, or 4 to the Marshall. I have an older version MIDI Solutions Event Processor that has the ability to map incoming program changes to different outgoing program changes.

I also used an Axess Electronics (BIG shout-out to Mario Marino!) CFX4 to change channels in my old amp via program changes. In the past, I have used the MidiBuddy to send program changes to the G-Major to switch among the effects settings. I also use a G-Major effects unit with lots of settings.

The Marshall cycles through the same program changes every four values, so 5-8 do the same thing as 1-4, 9-12 does the same thing as 1-4, etc. I have an old RFX MidiBuddy controller that sends program changes, and 1-4 do what they're supposed to do. It has a MIDI in jack, and it is capable of changing among its four channels using MIDI program changes 1-4 (or 0-3, depending on the controller used).
